Competition for NEET-PG is stiff. Each MCQ you get right matters. We asked our data analytics team to tell us how many ranks will you gain or lose if you get one extra MCQ right in NEET PG. Here are the results of their analysis:

What does this mean? Let me illustrate it with an example. If you get a rank between 1,000 and 5,000, each extra MCQ you get correct would have improved your rank by over 200.
We designed Pre-PG to give you an edge over your competition. Anyone who uses the free features of our app will get this edge.
Premium membership not only gives you an edge but also makes you leapfrog the competition. Enough to get you half the rank you would get if you did not use Premium features.
What do we mean by leapfrogging? Let’s look at doctors who utilized Premium benefits to leapfrog the competition. Here is a recent example. I received this email a couple of days back form a doctor who improved his rank from 12,000 to 330 in a few months. I also included his metrics that show how consistent effort helped him get to success within a few months:

Why do we have a Premium tier?
Why should a company with social goals have a Premium tier? Because it allows us to fund improvements in Pre-PG. Besides the cost of best-in-class infrastructure and servers, we have significantly expanded our team:
- Over the last six months, we have hired several engineers from IITs and are looking to recruit more. In fact, please write to us if you know any IITians willing to work for a startup looking to revolutionize global education
- We have hired a team of doctors who freelance for us to develop more image-based questions and look into the feedback on MCQs
- We have also grown our content and illustration team by three times
All this means that you will get a better Pre-PG platform and the Premium tier has been funding these costs.
Why Go Premium?
While 95% of Pre-PG is free, we have bundled the most valuable benefits in the 5% that is available only to Premium users.
[Premium Exclusive] Topic- and Subtopic-Level PrepDNA
Doctors seriously preparing for NEET PG know that the right way to prepare is at the topic- or concept-level. Studying a topic at a time helps you build mental representations of interconnected concepts and facts.
While everyone can see their subject-level PrepDNA, only Premium users have access to topic-level and sub-topic level PrepDNA. You get to look at all the topics arranged from the weakest to the strongest. You can practice your weakest topics and start practicing a topic just by clicking on the topic on your PrepDNA chart.

This is the most valuable Premium benefit since it lets you narrow down to the most specific sub-topics that you need to improve on. There are over 700 topics and over 2500 sub-topics on Pre-PG. We have found that even toppers can identify weaknesses using PrepDNA, as you can see in the example below. As a Premium user, you can just practice questions within a sub-topic right from PrepDNA.

[Premium Exclusive] Subject-Level Accuracy By Question Difficulty
We have said it several times now and don’t mind repeating the message: to crack NEET PG, you need to get the easy and medium questions right. While everyone can see their overall performance by difficulty level, only Premium users can see these charts for every subject. Knowing your accuracy for easy and medium questions in each subject will make it easy for you to decide your study strategy for the subjects. Not knowing it is a big disadvantage.

[Premium Exclusive] Deep Revision That Gets Results
If there was a feature that predicted success in NEET PG, this was it. In our study of Pre-PG users targeting 2018 NEET PG, the doctors who used revision features regularly improved significantly faster than those who were diligent with practice but did not use revision features regularly.

We know why this happens, and is consistent with the theory of deliberate practice:
You do not master NEET PG by reading notes or thinking through the theory. You need to solve MCQs, make mistakes, revise these mistakes, and try again, and again, and again.

We looked into research on effective learning techniques to design our revision features. The researchers made students practice and revise material several times, only varying the time between the practice and revision sessions. The time between sessions was less than a day for the first cohort, one day for the second, and 30 days for the third.
You can draw at least two conclusions from the chart. First, multiple sessions improved the percent correct answers. Second, students with longer time periods between sessions did a lot better in the final test. The takeaway: you need to revise multiple times and space your revisions.
We incorporated these findings into our revision features. You have three ways to revise on Pre-PG, and two of these are reserved exclusively for Premium members.

Daily Revision is available to all users. It is the kind of revision that everyone should do and helps you improve a lot on your mistakes. In the research shown above, Daily Revision mimics the blue curve. It helps you to perform much better than people who don’t wait for at least a day before revising.
The second revision type is Revise Bookmarks, a Premium-exclusive feature that allows you to revise all the questions you have bookmarked by subject. We discovered bookmark revision last year when we studied preparation methods that users who improved their scores the most used. These doctors practice MCQs regularly, bookmarking questions that help them understand concepts better. At regular intervals, they go back and practice these bookmarked questions.
The most effective revision type is Deep Revision, another Premium-exclusive feature. This feature uses our Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine to find MCQs that you will improve your score the most by practicing. It prioritizes mistakes you have made in the past, presenting questions that you got wrong a long time back first. It also looks for patterns within your incorrect questions to discover concepts you need to improve on. We have tested and measured results of doctors who used Deep Revision last year and found the regular users improving their rank the most in NEET PG.
[Premium Exclusive] Multi-Select Topics
We have seen all the best-prepared doctors prepare for NEET by topic. That said, there are times when you want to practice multiple topics together at one time. In fact, bundling a couple of inter-related topics is a useful technique in line with deliberate practice fundamentals. It helps you develop mental models of interrelated concepts for these topics.
Suppose you have attended classes for a few topics in a coaching class, and want to practice just the topics you learned in the class. While we allow all doctors to practice by topic, only Premium members can multi-select topics.

In the example shown here, the doctor decided to practice Cellular Pathology, Inflammation & Repair, Histopathology, and Hemodynamics.
[Premium Exclusive] Flashcards
Flashcards are the most recent Premium feature we introduced [of course, there is a lot more coming!]. Why did we choose flashcards over notes or videos? First, Flashcards are the best aligned with our mission of helping doctors crack NEET through deliberate practice. Not all high-yield facts can be covered in explanations of MCQs and can fit better as flashcards. Second, we looked into research that evaluated the impact of teaching methods on recall, and along with MCQs, flashcards ranked highest.

[Premium Exclusive] Advanced Filters and Switches
Over the last two years, we have been reading thousands of emails requesting additional filters for customizing practice on Pre-PG. Frankly, several of these doctors are looking for short-cuts. But we yielded to popular demand and decided to give Premium users the ability to “cheat” and use advanced filters for several of these requests.
“Do you have a list of high-yield questions?”
“I only want to practice question from the last two years.”
“I don’t want to see any repeats.”
“Getting questions with multiple correct answers is very annoying.”
“I only want to practice JIPMER questions.”

In the picture shown here, all the filters with a star next to them are only available to Premium users.
High Yield: Questions that our algorithms have determined to be more likely to come up in the NEET PG, based on a mix of historical repeats and user feedback such as questions added to bookmarks by most users
Recent Questions Only: Only show MCQs that came up in tests starting 2014.
No Repeats: Pre-PG question delivery algorithm repeats questions you got wrong more than a day back so that you can improve on your previous mistakes. This is our unique adaptive engine personalized for you. This switch will allow you to turn off repetition of prior mistakes. It will also start showing you all questions irrespective of difficulty level.
Show All Questions: In the regular mode, restrict question difficultly up to a level slightly above your current proficiency level. This ensures you are always challenged and more questions start showing up as you improve your proficiency. Premium members can use this switch to start showing all the questions, irrespective of your proficiency level.
No Repeats: Pre-PG question delivery algorithm repeats questions you got wrong more than a day back so that you can improve on your previous mistakes. This is our unique adaptive engine personalized for you. This switch will allow you to turn off re
No PGI Questions: Don’t want to see questions with multiple correct answers which is unique to PGI tests? Use this switch.
Exam Pattern: Right now we allow you to filter questions from four tests, NEET, AIIMS, JIPMER, and PGI. We intend to enable filtering for other tests too, including NIMHANS and FMGE.
Difficulty Level: Pre-PG question delivery is adaptive and shows you questions that are slightly above your current proficiency level for the topic. You can use this filter if you want to study harder or easier MCQs relative to your level.
We’ve Only Just Begun
You think these are a lot of benefits for Premium? Think again. We have only just begun on developing the high-value benefits. We are only about 40% done with our product development for Pre-PG. Yes, we will add more free features, but the majority of new benefits will be for Premium members.
